Be Inspired Holistic Fair by Central Worcestershire Group of the Complementary Therapists Association
On 22 November 2009 we held our first group Holistic Fair at Rushwick Village Hall, Rushwick, near Worcester. A vast selection of complementary and alternative therapies were available together with hand made items and jewellery for sale. It was a successful day with many people spending time to try out more than one treatments and enjoying tea, coffee and hand made cakes. Contributions from stall holders together with a raffle raised £250 for St Richards Hospice who are celebrating their 25th anniversary of care.
On 21 November we were at the Jaeger shop in Worcester giving seated back neck and shoulders or Indian Head Massages to customers.
Open Day at Culpeper
On 29 November a selection of therapists at Culpeper gave taster sessions of various treatments including FREE tasters of Indian Head Massage and Seated Acupressure Massage. This was followd by an Aromatherapy Workshop demonstrating how to make your own bath melts, exfoliating scrub and pot pourri plus an opportunity to make bath fizzers. On 10 October we attended Karate World as part of their Fun Day raising money for a cancer charity in memory of one of their members. Over £1400 was raised by Karate World.
On 3 October saw the return of Le Petit Souk at Shipston on Stour where we gave seated over the clothes massages in the Pamper Area.
Perdiswell Baby Show
On 26 September we attended the above show giving relaxing Indian Head and Back Neck and Shoulder Massages to mothers to be and their families.

A Launch Day took place on Saturday 19 September 2009 where free taster sessions were given on a selection of treatments being offered at Tranquility by the team of 4 therapists. On 1 August Kathy Scott took part in the Mind Body Spirit Fayre, organised by Jayne Frost of Malvern, at the Guildhall Worcester to do seated acupressure massage. Despite the terrible weather it was well attended and many people tried a 10 minute taster session concentrating on the Back, Neck and Shoulders or having an Indian Head Massage.
In July we took the massage chair to Beacon DentalCare in Malvern who were raising money for Dentaid. The staff dressed as pirates for the day in return for donations to the charity. We offered 15 minute back neck and shoulders massages to help raise some additional funds.
Also in July we attended Norton Parish Hall to take part in a Ladies Evening to raise money for the Norton Pre-School Group giving Indian Head Massage or Back Neck and Shoulders Massage to those who attended.
In June, we attended a charity evening called "Fluff" near Droitwich organised by Hedgehogs Developments Limited. The evening was organised to raise money for County Air Ambulance.
In May we took the massage chair to Le Petit Souk in Shipston on Stour. This was a day of bellydance workshops, market and performances. For the first time, a pamper area was also part of the day and we gave clothed 10 minute massages to dancers and visitors alike to soothe those aching muscles and for relaxation.
Also in May we attended the Wednesday Club's Ladies Fashion and Lingerie Evening at Worcester Cricket Club giving seated massage to the ladies attending.
In April Kathy Scott attended the Culpeper Therapy Rooms Open Day at Culpeper Worcester giving taster treatments of Indian Head Massage along with the other therapists in the team. Other treatments on offer were Reflexology, Ayurvedic Diet & Nutrition Advice, Holistic Massage, Homeopathy and Aromatherapy. Alex Platt, the team's Aromatherapist also held a workshop demonstrating how to make your own natural products such as cleansers, toners and lip balms.
